I rearranged my studio last week so I could take advantage of the glass french doors and all that glorious natural light. Way back in the day (don't I sound old?) I used to ONLY use natural light. In the last few years I've branched out and gotten studio lights. Don't get me wrong, studio lights are so great with the white backdrop and all the bright colors and on those millions of dim dark days we get in the winter around here. There is still something so yummy and soft about natural light that is hard to replicate, though. So glad to be able to use it again sometimes.
That little man above is Chase. He was not even two weeks old when I took these pictures and just a doll to work with. He was completely calm (and forgiving!) when I asked his older sisters to snuggle together and he got folded in half. He let us do pretty much anything with him, although he did take out a few things on Daddy. That little guy had liquids coming out of all orifices (more than once) every time his dad held him. Doesn't it feel good to be loved Pete?
One of the funniest parts of the whole session was the knock knock joke Pete and Amy told with their girlies Caitlin and Jade.
Knock. Knock.
Who's there?
HIPPA.
HIPPA Who?
I can't tell you!
At first I didn't get it, but if you consider that Mom is a lawyer and Dad is a physician you realize it's about the patient privacy laws. (Physicians must have written permission to divulge patient information.) The funniest part is their daughters thought it was hilarious! I probably can't use that joke on any other kids but I sure got a chuckle out of it!
Here are my favorite pictures...
