What a long strange trip it's been. I'm actually not a Grateful Dead fan but that sums up my year for me. I switched to digital in January and completely changed up my business. I have learned a ton and turned more than a few hairs gray in the process. I am going to take a break over the next 10 days and figure out which way is up.
But I won't leave you without any fun tidbits. I found this neat program to make slide shows for my blog so we'll see how it works. I've pulled all of my favorite pictures of the year and I'll show them to you in three slide shows over the next week or so. Stay tuned! You just might see somebody you know!
(Please do me a favor and click on the 'full frame' button. They you can experience the pictures in all their glory!)

I made it. I wasn't sure I was going to, but I made it to the end of my schedule. Shelly wanted to bring her three boys (well, her hubby and her two sons) in mid December because little Asher turned one on the 12th and she wanted to take his first year pictures as close to that date as possible.
Amid all of the promise and surprise of the season I was honestly surprised to get such great cooperation from the boys. Grayson (big brother) was excited and enthusiastic about having his picture taken and that attitude was picked up by Asher too.
Even though it was only 32 degrees outside (and threatening to snow) we took a few pictures outside without coats. Such troopers!

Okay, I checked the naughty and nice list and you must be doing something right because I'm sharing these fun pictures of Julian. I posted his girlfriend, Maeve's, pictures yesterday and now it is his turn.

Last week I got to take pictures of a new little friend. Her nanny, Alissa brought her in as a super secret surprise for her parents for the holidays. We found that the best way to make her smile was to get her buddy Julian up close and personal. A sure fire winner!
I even took a few pictures of Julian too but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see those. (And only if you've been good little kids all year long!)

Achoo! Actually, Simon didn't say it, his parents and I did. Apparently Simon thinks adults with head colds are hilarious. Since I aim to please I sneezed my head off for him.
Simon also liked Elmo so while Mike sat close enough to Simon for his comfort Meghan made Elmo a dancing on my shoulder. I could sing that theme song in my sleep!

For you non french speaking types that means cheese! We didn't ask two year old Sigrid to say that word but she could have if we'd made the request. That girlie has the most amazing vocabulary. Her mom said that by the time she was 13 months old she stopped keeping track of her new words because she was already up to 200 and she was learning at least 10 new words a day. You can just tell she is going to be a little chatterbox!
Sigrid came wearing the most adorable pink Paddington coat. I just knew that I was going to have to save some time at the end of our photo session to make sure I could take pictures of it. The color was to die for. For that very reason, the black and white picture you will see in this post is the one above!

When I think of something that needs to be done, or make a decision I need to make it happen right away. I jump in immediately partly because I'm excited to make or do the fun thing I've just thought of. The other part is that I am so busy, if I don't get my mission done immediately it probably won't get done. A perfect example is the redesign of my website. I decided on a Sunday that I need to have an updated website and by Wednesday I had it up and running. (The only reason it took that long is because the website template people didn't respond very quickly to my purchase!)
So where am I going with this? Can you see the beautiful sweaters J.D. and Caitlin are wearing? Their Mom, Angelica, decided the night before our photoshoot that she had to make new outfits. Can you believe how amazing they are? I can because Angelica dresses her kids in amazing handmade outfits every year! (I'm sure she made he own sweater too.)

Shantih and Alexis came for pictures this weekend and they wore the best pajama pants ever. They have a good friend (you can see her website here) who makes pajamas in all sorts of pants in fun prints and she even makes mother/daughter matching pants. Wouldn't that be fun? If Mrs. Santa wasn't already bringing American Girl jammies I'd have put in a special request!
I love taking pictures of Sara, Mohnie and their girls. They are always ready for fun and they prefer the non-posed, fun type pictures. I hope they like these family pictures as much as I do!
Here are my favorites... (BTW - the last few shots are really for Shantih. We made a deal that I would take a few pictures of her wearing her beautiful tiara and then she would take it off for the jammies. Isn't she fabulous?)
